The Picmonic founders understand the challenges of the modern medical student, because they’ve been there. They discovered the effectiveness of visual memorization techniques during their USMLE preparation in their second year of med school. After surviving the Step 1 themselves, Ron Robertson and Adeel Yang set out to share the visual mnemonic methodology with other medical students.
Their vision was simple enough: create technology to deliver visual mnemonics to help students memorize the most challenging, high-yield medical concepts. They did their research, spread their idea, built a team, and founded Picmonic: the Pictorial Mnemonic Solution they desperately wished for during their own exam prep.
But Picmonic isn’t all about the product; it’s about the people. The people who create and the people who we create for. Everything we do is for the students, and we are committed to providing a solution that meets students’ wants and needs.
The Picmonic Team is a group of creative and crazy individuals who have a shared passion for helping students study in a better way. The Picmonic Headquarters are home to illustrators, story tellers, graphic designers, social media gurus, medical experts, students who love to study, and students who need a better way to study. The Team is what makes Picmonic tick.
